Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-08-21
These terms govern your use of Broadcastle. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Broadcastle.
1. The service
Broadcastle is a hosted multistreaming service: you send a single live stream to us and we relay it to the streaming platforms and destinations you configure, with unified chat and analytics. The features available to you depend on your plan. We may add, change or remove features over time; we will give reasonable notice when a change removes something you pay for.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
- You must give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password, passkeys and stream keys private, and tell us at support@broadcastle.io as soon as you suspect unauthorised access.
- Registration may require an invitation or be limited while the service is in early access.
3. Acceptable use
You may use Broadcastle only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm the service or others. In particular, you must not:
- stream or restream content you do not have the rights to, including copyrighted video, music or broadcasts without a licence;
- stream content that is illegal where you or your viewers are, or that is sexually exploitative, violent, hateful or harassing;
- use the service to harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse anyone;
- use Broadcastle to evade a ban, suspension or restriction imposed by a streaming platform;
- circumvent plan limits, usage metering or access controls, or share one account across several people;
- probe, overload or interfere with the service, or access it by means other than the interfaces we provide;
- connect an account on a streaming platform that is not yours to control.
4. Destination platforms
When you connect a platform such as Twitch, YouTube or Kick, you authorise Broadcastle to publish your stream and related activity to it on your behalf. You remain bound by that platform's own terms and community guidelines, and you are responsible for complying with them. We are not responsible for actions a platform takes against your channel, or for a platform changing or withdrawing the access it gives us.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you stream. You grant Broadcastle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to receive, transcode, store transiently and transmit your content solely as needed to provide the service to you. You confirm you have every right and permission needed for us to do so. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it for any other purpose.
6. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance, either monthly or annually, through Stripe or PayPal. Prices are shown before you subscribe and may change with notice; a change applies from your next billing period.
- Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Annual plans are a one-time purchase covering twelve months and run until they expire.
- Usage beyond your plan's limits may be throttled or blocked rather than billed.
- Refunds are handled as described in our Refund policy.
- Taxes may be added where the law requires.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, and stop a stream that is live, if you breach these terms, if your use creates a legal or security risk, or if the law requires it. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@broadcastle.io; closing your account does not by itself cancel a subscription, so cancel first if you have one. On termination your right to use the service ends and we will delete your data as described in our Privacy policy.
8. Availability and disclaimers
Live streaming depends on networks, platforms and infrastructure we do not control. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of uninterrupted operation, specific uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that every destination will accept your stream or that a stream will never drop.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Broadcastle is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses — including lost revenue, lost audience, lost data or reputational harm — arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including the consumer protection rules of Quebec and of your place of residence.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Broadcastle against claims by third parties arising from the content you stream or from your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription and close your account before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of Quebec, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that entitle you to bring a claim where you live. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
